On a distant parallel Earth-like planet,  primordial bugs evolved into sentient beings after a  comet strike. They developed advanced colonies  and  cultures, living in harmony  for thousands of years. However, war, famine, and disease disrupted this peace. Fungi and  viruses mutated mysteriously and began infecting bugs and ecosystems along their path and threatening the planet’s evolution catalyst. To defend itself and to protect the planet from total annihilation, the comet’s  entity granted special powers to selected bugs, forming the team called POWER BUGS!  PROTECTORS. HEROES.
