Lang, a warrior ant with exceptional blade skills and the ability to harness dark energy, served as the royal bodyguard in the grand city of Formicidae. On the night of a royal wedding, after heavy drinking, Lang awoke to find the Datu and guards murdered, with him as the prime suspect. Despite his claims of innocence, he was sentenced to die in a public deathmatch. In a fierce battle with monstrous beasts during the execution, Lang's dark energy powers emerged, but he still faced execution. Seizing the moment, Lang and fellow convicts escaped, and Lang began his journey to Metro City.

In Metro City, while trying to hide his identity, Lang was tracked by hired assassins. He protected the bar patrons and defeated the assassins, only to be summoned by a mysterious cosmic being.
